Why Weather Sealing Rocks

On Saturday, Jon, Jason and I went out shooting in Stanley Park. We went to check out the area that was hit hard by last winters wind storm, that knocked down so many of the trees on the west side of Stanley Park.
By the time we got there, the weather was just cloudy, but weather reports had called for rain later that day. Of course only about 30 minutes into our trek, it started to drizzle, which eventually turned to a nice west coast rain.
It was the first time I had my Canon 1D Mark II out in the rain, along with my 70-200L. Pretty much most L lens coupled with that body gives you a weather sealed camera. Still, there is something 'wrong' about having a digital camera outside in the rain and NOT worrying about it.
Jason who has the similar but higher end body was also out shooting away not thinking twice about it. His time in the Turks & Caicos surf, spoiled him. Anyways by the end of the day, I returned home, with a wet and working camera in tow. I love Canon gear.
On the left is a great shot Jon took of my camera with just a 'few' drops of rain on it. :P
