Warning Cliff Ahead!
This photo was taken last summer during a day trip up to Whistler with Natisha and her family. We went for a hike at the top of Whistler mountain where I took this shot. I actually forgot about it, but recently did a complete overhaul of my entire image archive. Since Lightroom was finally officially released, I finally got my educational copy in the mail. Being sick as a dog these last few days (first time taking 3 sick days in YEARS!) I spent the first day off sorting out all my images. I had them separated on 3 different hard drives, which was a mess to find images, but with my recent 500gb harddrive (of which 100 is already used up) I was easy to design a proper archive thru Lightroom.
Not a whole lot is new. As mentioned I am sick as a dog right now (feels like I have a razor blade in my throat/running a fever last 3 days) which is the reason I'm writing this from home right now. Last weekend Dan and I did our second shoot for Mazda Canada at their annual Sales Gala. This year it was at the Wall Sheraton in Downtown. The gala was a blast as usual, but a lot of fun work. We also had a room for the evening which meant we could hang around after the shoot with the crew from Montreal that was flown in to perform.
Sunday turned out to be a little of a downer as my car broke down on me. After dropping Dan off in Whiterock I jumped back on the highway to head home. As soon as I got on the highway I went to pass a semi, and switched from 4th -> 5th gear. In doing so, the bolt that connects my shifter->linkage arm decided to pop out. That meant I had no GO. I hit my hazards as I had just enough space in front of the semi to yank the car to the side of the road. 2 hours later BCAA finally showed up (they said 30-45min). I towed my car in to Keep Labs where I was suppose to take my car in last week to get the clutch change. So my car has been sitting there since Sunday last weekend. I picked up my flywheel which needs to be machined before putting in the new clutch, so I guess I'll have to go into work today sometime to machine the flywheel. Being the first time I've taken my car into a performance shop (few guys from BCprotege.net go there) they told me while I'm machining the flywheel, to machine the backside and make it lighter. Bleh, my warranty on my car is over, so what the heck?
Okay my bed is calling me. But before I go here is one shot of Dan and I at the Gala. This was taken at 2:03am, after a long day, and 2 beers. I think there is a reason why photographers like to stay behind the camera.
