Costco in Downtown
Am I the only one that things the costco in downtown is a 'stupid idea'?
My reasoning? Well lets think about the logic here for a second:
1) Condos/Apartments (pretty much the only thing you can buy downtown) are becoming ever so smaller and smaller.
2) Costcos sales model (taken from their wiki]) "Costco focuses on selling products at low prices, often at very high volume. These goods are usually bulk-packaged and marketed primarily to large families and small businesses."
So here goes a young couple, that spends most of their savings on a 500sqf or so condo. Now do they really want to save a dollar and buy a bulk of 48 toilet rolls to fill up their 20sqf bathroom? How many 'large' families live in Downtown? How many 'small' business are there really in downtown?
