Phew

Boy does time fly. The last few days have been extremely exciting, but busy as well! I finished my course last week at the JI which turned out to be a great course. I'm tempted to take a few others, but that will have to wait till the cash flows in as they are a tad on the expensive side.

Both Thurs/Friday I found myself over at Rachna's house shooting away. I decided to shoot in RAW on my camera for once, and will now NEVER go back. The difference in RAW compared to JPEG compression on this camera is AMAZING! I could no believe the difference when viewed on the computer. Thurs was the Mendhi night which was a good ice breaker, seeing that it was I (male) and them (females!). Okay I'm gloating it was nice being the only male! Who am I to complain being in a house full of amazingly good lookin' ladies?

Friday I returned for the Pithi night, which was outside in her backyard with a massive tent. This is where I got full use of my new (err used) 580ex, which came to some serious rescue work. I always thought to myself "I hate flash" but you can do some amazing work with this flash without it looking too 'fake'. After a lot of shooting, some and great food, I went down to the Mandhir where the girls were setting things up.

Saturday I was up early at 515am to meet Rachna at her house as her hairdresser was suppose to be in at 600am (I say suppose to, because she came in at 640!). The makeup artist then came by at 830am. By 1000am, I left (when the main photographer came) and went to downtown with Nat to pickup a 70-200 2.8 Sigma lens on rental for use at the wedding/reception.

The wedding was a beautful event and both the bride and groom looked stunning. I had a lot of run walking around in the background grabbing a lot of candid shots not only of the B&G but of everyone who was in attendance at the wedding.

Last night was the reception at a new hall in Surrey which was actually very nice. I got there early before more of the guest arrived to put up one of my pictures on the guestbook table that we had taken last week at the prewedding shoot at Iona Beach.

Great food, great speeches, and tons of amazing people, not to mention a heck load of pictures. The night ended on a great note, and I'm positive everyone left happy including the B&G. Congrats to both Rachna and Shailish on their new life together!

Okay okay, PICTURES to come soon! You try going thru 12gig of pictures!
