Monitor Headache

So I recently grabbed one of the 19" at work that my dad brought up from Seattle from a company we do business with. Its a big increase over my previous 17" NEC, but I've had a real big headache trying to get it color corrected properly. I really noticed this with some prints I had done for the reception, and specially with the photo I posted below. When I got to work today I pulled up that image, and the color, and sharpness of the photo was completely off. Bleh.

Sooo that means I'm looking for a new monitor. Hell if I'm gonna get serious about this photowork, I need a monitor thats properly calibrated so I know that my work will be printed out correctly. Good enough excuse I guess?

So I've spent some time today doing research, and believe it or not, I may settle for... wait for it... a MAC! Okay, not the computer but just the monitor. I make it okay by knowing the actual LCD is made by LG, so that makes it okay ;) Apple makes 3 models (20, 23, 30"). Right now only the 20" is in the price range, but the 23" looks sooooooo nice, as it is HDready.

PS: Added photos from early Sat morning.
