I HATE NBC
Its official I hate NBC.
If it wasn't bad enough they cancelled LAX with only 13 episodes in the first season, just as it was getting good. They had a wicked timeslot on Monday, but they (NBC) thought they would be smart, and move it to the same timeslot as Lost on Wed. Of course viewership dropped, and it got cancelled. This was a few months ago.
To settle the deal, Third Watch was also cancelled. The last episode was aired on Friday last week. It was a great episode, and it ended the series well. I really got into Third Watch during the mid/end of last season (5). I watched every episode of this last season (6). It blew away every other regular show (unless you like 3 different CSI shows or 4 different Law & Order shows). God forbid a show about something completely different other than the same thing over and over. Oh well what can you do. Sure the show lost a little viewship in the 6 years. That happens when you change the timeslot 3 times, and put it at 9pm on Fridays. Still it lasted 2 years in that slot which is good. The picture below was posted on 3rdWatch.net that a member put together.

Another stupid call now is that right now, it doesn't look like Third Watch will ever be released on DVD since they never really used original music on the show (used various artists). NBC call again, as they don't want to spend the money to get the rights. Cheap Bastards.
On the bright side of things some nice people have actually recorded every episode of Third Watch (all 6 seasons), and have them on BTorrent which rocks big time. So far I've dl'd half of season1 and watched the first episode. Its interesting seeing things from the start. Should be interesting...
