Steveston the new Yuppyville?
So I've been biking (mountain biking) a lot more lately. Every day, I've been checking out the new places, and old places. I spent some time today going thru the "New Steveston". Yeap the Urbanville. Or Yuppyville.
Housing Complex are jumping up everywhere. But nobody is smart to think about upgrading the roads that go into that area. Where the hell are all these cars suppose to go? They all get gridlock on 2rd from moncton up.
Secondly, what is with the number of SUV's at doggy park? I remember riding thru there with NO cars in sight, let a long people. Today some moron in a white Merc SUV (with bling rims) opened the back up, to have his dog jump right out, and race towards the dog park, as I grabbed a handfull of brake, to stop myself from crashing into this dog. And all the greasy guy could do, is give me a bad glare? Eat it yuppy!
People rollerblading together, while each on a cell phone?! Old lady telling me to get off my bike in a 10' stretch that says cyclist dismount? EAT IT YUPPY!
I've been riding in these area since almost 10 years ago. I wonder why I still ride after seeing all this, but just coming down Gilbert, as I almost finished my ride, and I remembered why I love this biking in Steveston.
A mother duck, with her 10 ducklings, walking down the side of the road. A site def to see, too bad I didn't have my camera. I'll have to take it out on my next ride out, so I can show you in 10 years what the place looks like, before the high rises go in.
