SOLO FLIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well today it finally happened! I had my solo flight. Started with 4 circuits with John, then we pulled off on taxiway Bravo, and he asked if i'm up to go for my solo, I said sure. The last 4 circuits went really well, landings were good as well. So we taxied to the terminal where he jumped out, and I went back to the runway for my 3 circuits he asked me to do. Man what a feeling being totally alone in the airplane. It was freaken RAD!!! I was screaming like a little girl after I took off. All my landings were not bad as well. John did say the flare before the landing would be longer because of his weight which was no longer in the plane, but otherwise it went really well. I ran into some turbulence during the downwind of the circuit, but I came thru.

After I landed and tied up the plane, I walked back to the terminal where another instructor was waiting with a camera to take my picture. She said John was inside doing the paper work. As she asked me to move to the side, and get ready to take the picture, I heard some thumping on the wood floor, and John flew out behind a bush, and thru a bucket full of water on me. Bastard guy. Thats the ritual for your first solo.

I'll upload some pics they took with the polariod later on. I'm just freaken pumped.

Btw, is it a coincidence that I happened to do my solo flight on Sept 11th?
