Yesterday
So I left work around 12ish for my pre-solo check flight with a Class 1 instructor. I had Karen for my check flight. It wasn't bad, although there was 10kt winds which did cause some problems. On landing, the winds were crazy, and I was floating all around, but on take off, the wind were straight down the runway. Very odd, but went well otherwise. She said that the winds were pretty strong, but I did well dispite them.
John met up with me after the flight, and we went over the PSTAR question. PSTAR is the pre solo multiple choice test I have to take before I can solo. So we grabbed some grub, chatted, went over questions. Took a 20 min break, then it was time for ground school. After class around 10ish, I goto my bike, and battery was dead. Crap. So I pulled out the battery in the dark, and called home for a ride. Parked my bike around the side of the terminal.
I charged the battery up over night, and went today to go get her. I also picked up my EBC HH brake pads for my bike as the front brakes were done. Freaken $50 bucks for each pad. Better than stock ones tho, they were $105. Anyhoo I changed the pads after work, and there is a noticable difference, but I won't tell till after about 200km when they are worn in.
